Longer operating times for community vaccination sites on the cards

September 14th, 2021

In addition to increasing the daily number of community vaccination sites, the coordinators are also looking at expanding the operating times for each.

Currently vaccination centres run from nine in the morning and usually close at 2:30 in the afternoon.

Yesterday, Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley revealed the number of community sites will be increased from two a day to five or six, while reducing the number of mainstream sites.

Co-Coordinator of the National COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign, Major David Clarke, tells CBC News they’re currently working on the logistics.
