The St. Michael man accused of animal cruelty pleaded not guilty to the offence today in court.
He was charged following a viral video, in which a dog appeared to have drowned at a popular beach during the past week.
28 year old Davino Shakell Howard of Bullen’s Avenue, Dalkeith Road, St. Michael has however, pleaded guilty to two separate charges – those of failing to license a dog and withholding information.
The accused has been granted $5,000 bail and is expected to reappear in the District A Magistrate’s Court next Friday, September 23rd.
