Man remanded after court appearance in connection with multiple charges

A 25 year old man of no fixed place of abode has been remanded to Dodds Prison.

This after he appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrate’s Court yesterday on a number of charges including murder.

Police say Henry Depeiza Lewis appeared before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes and was remanded to Prison until October 12th, 2022 when next he is scheduled to appear in court.

Lewis is accused of murdering Rommel Trotman on August 30th this year.

Police say Lewis also pleaded ‘Not Guilty’ to charges of theft of money and of a handbag and its contents on August 12th and 13th respectively.

He is also answering charges for possession of a firearm and ammunition on September 6th as well as two counts of endangering the life of Raheim Forde on September 4th.
