There has been one addition to the Barbados CARIFTA Track and Field team set to travel to Bahamas for the 50th edition of the Games.
The Athletic Association of Barbados has included the Lodge School’s Amani Mascoll-Beckles after he received medical clearance for what seemed like a nagging injury.
Mascoll-Beckles qualified for the Under 20 Boys 100, 200 and 400 metres.
His inclusion now brings the number of athletes travelling to the Games for Barbados to 24.
Unfortunately, the Combermere School’s Kishawna Niles will not make the trip as she is not available for selection due to injury.
She had qualified for the Under 20 Girls 100 metres, but was also awaiting medical clearance.
The 50th CARIFTA Games is scheduled for April 7 to 10.
