The Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency’s natural disaster strategies have not only prepared them for COVID-19 but to handle other health-related hazards like monkeypox.
This has been stressed by Executive Director Elizabeth Riley.
Speaking during a press conference about the 2022 Atlantic Hurricane season she noted the a number of procedures were established in conjunction with CARPHA since 2020.
