A five to 10 per cent increase is being projected for the cruise industry this year.
That is the word from the acting secretary general of the Caribbean Tourism Organisation (CTO), Neil Walters.
The CTO official told a media conference at their Warrens, St. Michael office, that coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic, more ships are being deployed this year.
Newly-appointed chairman of the CTO and minister of tourism and transport in the Cayman Islands Kenneth Bryan, in his remark, said he looking to build on the momentum seen in the region coming out of the pandemic.
