Barbados Prime Minister, Mia Amor Mottley is optimistic the ability to help people through the cost of living crisis is within countries’ capacity.
She weighed in on the matter as she delivered the 20th Nelson Mandela Annual Lecture on Saturday in South Africa, sending a warning if countries fail to address it.
It was held under the theme, Social Bonding and Decolonisation in the Context of the Climate Crisis: Perspectives from the Global South.
Ms. Mottley again called out the injustice and discriminatory treatment meted out by international financial institutions.
She says the action continues to limit the promise of political independence and decolonisation promised to countries.
