Six international bartenders competed in Mount Gay’s “A Taste of Home” Cocktail Competition finals Thursday night at the Penthouse, Limegrove Lifestyle Centre.
They are Patty Dennison, Graham Essex, Melanie Getman, Marco Pastanella, Jesse Rodriguez and Chris O’Neal.
They were chosen from among hundreds of bartenders from across the United States, after crafting one-of-a-kind cocktails which emphasised sustainability, made with Mount Gay and local ingredients.
On an exclusive trip to Barbados, the bartenders competed for the national title in the Vinepair and Collectif 1806 sponsored competition, and also got the opportunity to explore the Mount Gay brand and the island.
Host of the competition Karen Grill says they are happy to be back in Barbados.
Melanie Getman emerged as winner of the competition.
