Barbados has received a multi-million dollar boost from the International Monetary Fund.
Minister in the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Investment, Marsha Caddle told Parliament she was informed by the Central Bank Governor the country is in receipt of the IMF Special Drawing Rights, in the amount of 261.58 million dollars.
She made it clear the funds are not a loan.
Minister Caddle was speaking during Debate on a Supplementary for the National Insurance Scheme’s Unemployment Benefit Fund.
