Barbados’ healthcare system stands to benefit from the deployment of just over a dozen qualified paediatric nurses, through a multi-million dollar investment to enhance paediatric care.
Leading Paediatrician, Dr. Clyde Cave has provided the Morning Report with an update on the Shaw Centre for Paediatric Excellence – a close to 15 million dollar programme now three years in the making.
Dr. Cave is also the Barbados Programme Director of the Centre.
The project, funded by the Shaw family out of Canada, which has close connections here, focuses on developing healthcare facilities and medical professionals to meet the growing demand for paediatric care locally.
