The National Council on Substance Abuse (NCSA) has joined the cry expressing concern about the recently circulated videos of secondary school students in uniforms using what looks like e-cigarettes or vape pens.
In a release the NCSA stressed that it is an issue that it has been advocating about during interventions with schools.
It says it continues to call on parents and guardians to monitor their children’s activities, and to encourage them not to be pressured by their peers.
It stressed the need for a national response to this and other issues, and a more coordinated approach to drug demand and drug supply.
The NCSA says this will help all stakeholders get to the source of where the children get the devices.
