A new agency is being created as part of Government’s legislative framework to protect the nation’s children.
It’s the Child Protection Authority and is a creation of the Child Protection Bill laid in Parliament.
It’s scope and other aspects of the proposed legislation were laid out during a post Cabinet media conference this morning, held by Attorney General Dale Marshall, who is acting as Minister of Home Affairs and Information, along with Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs, Kirk Humphrey.
Krystal Hoyte was there and joined NewsNight with the details.
