NIFCA Online has made a huge impact with over 20 thousand views in less than a week.
The disclosure from the National Cultural Foundation’s CEO Carol Roberts-Reifer.
The Foundation launched NIFCA Online this week – a virtual presentation of the cultural showcase.
The CEO says while people see Crop Over as the main event, NIFCA is vital to Barbados’ identity.
Ms. Roberts-Reifer says even before the pandemic hit it was her intention to tweak NIFCA, so when the virus halted the physical aspect of it, she knew the show had to go on.
Some of the online events include previous years being celebrated, an online visual arts exhibition and a literary arts radio drama.
NIFCA Online can be viewed on www.nifcaonline.com and runs until month end.
