The waiting list for cataract surgeries at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in excess of 700 individuals.
During Debate on the Estimates, Health Minister Ian Gooding-Edghill noted urgent and immediate action will be taken to address the backlog in surgical operations at the Hospital in the shortest possible time. This will include getting surgical theatres back in full operation.
