Over ninety million dollars…
That’s the amount of money currently owed to the Barbados Water Authority by businesses and home owners across the island.
BWA Chairman Stevon Roberts, broke the news on last night’s edition of Water Wednesdays on CBC TV8 as he appealed to commercial and domestic customers to pay their bills.
Giving more details to the Morning Report, he says it’s roughly a 70 to 30% split between commercial and domestic customers.
The BWA Chairman made it clear the Authority is not resorting to disconnections to solve this issue at present.
He’s however appealing to people on the domestic side to come in and work out a payment plan.
