More details have been revealed about the multi-million dollar property to be built on Barbados’ diamond coast by United States-based luxury boutique hotel chain, Pendry Hotels and Resorts.
The announcement was first made during the Budget Speech by Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley, who indicated at the time that the development would result in a slight adjustment being made to the roadway in the area of Port Ferdinand, in St. Peter.
In a release on its website dated today, complete with an artist’s rendering of the planned resort, Pendry has announced that the Pendry Barbados property is expected to be ready by 2026.
Pendry Hotels and Resorts says it will reimagine the existing Port Ferdinand Luxury Marina and Residences and will develop a new luxury beachfront resort and residences with the architect, Robert Glazier, and a US-based private investment and development team.
Pendry Barbados will consist of approximately 74 oceanfront guest rooms and suites, along with 46 private Pendry residences
Additionally, Pendry Barbados guests and residence owners will have exclusive access to resort amenities, including a 111-berth marina; multiple dining concepts, including a destination restaurant, beach club bar and grille, rum bar, lobby lounge, and pool bar.
It will also feature Spa Pendry with seven treatment rooms; a state-of-the-art fitness centre; expansive indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, plus recreation and family-centric offerings including Pinwheel Kids Club and Compass Sports.
