Plastic pollution problem

Today is World Environment Day and Barbados will join several countries across the globe in observing the occasion, which has been celebrated annually since 1973. 

This year’s theme focuses on solutions to plastic pollution.

Activities locally, regionally and internationally will therefore highlight this scourge which contributes to millions of tonnes of waste in landfills, oceans and waterways.
