Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley has extended her condolences to the family of the Barbados Water Authority worker, who tragically died in an accident in Boscobelle, St. Peter today.
She says the work he did meant that not only did he provide an important commodity, but that he saw many at their most vulnerable and exposed moments.
The Prime Minister says no doubt, there is sadness not only in his household right now, but across the BWA family and in the households where as a tanker assistant the deceased brought much needed relief.
She says his service will never go unappreciated, and thanked him on behalf of the Government and people of Barbados.
Prime Minister Mottley also asked the country to say a prayer for the full and speedy recovery of the truck’s driver, who is currently a patient of the QEH, as well as all who have been hurt in any way by the tragedy.
