The Barbados Police Service has dismissed reports of a shooting incident after a football match at the Westbury School playing field on Sunday evening.
News of the incident went viral after a large number of police officers were seen at the playing field.
However, CBC News understands that police responded to reports of what they described as a disturbance at the end of the game, and while there are no details as to the nature of that incident, lawmen confirmed that there were no shots fired and that no one was injured arising from the disturbance.
