Police investigating unnatural death of a 48 year old Christ Church man

Police are investigating the unnatural death of a 48 year old man which occurred today, Wednesday, August 11th, 2021.

They say following a report which was made around 10:20 a.m. this morning, officers responded to Apartment #2, Nelson, Maxwell Main Road, Christ Church.

On arrival, they confirmed the presence of the lifeless body of an adult male on the bed in the bedroom of the said apartment. A black plastic garbage bag was secured over his head with a hose attached, which was connected to a gas cylinder.

Police say a thorough investigation is ongoing, however no foul play is suspected.

They say based on the information from family and friends close to the deceased and the presented circumstances, suicide is suspected.

The deceased has been formally identified by a sibling as Desmond Alexander Taitt of the said address.
