The Queen Elizabeth Hospital has received an injection of $30,000 worth of medical supplies.
The items, consisting of 50,000 medical masks and 1000 sets of protective clothing, were donated to the state-run Hospital by the China-Caribbean Development Centre.
China’s Ambassador to Barbados, Yan Xiusheng explains the donation is the latest collaboration between China and the Hospital.
Minister of State in the Ministry of Health and Wellness, Dr. Sonia Browne welcomed the gift, noting the items will be utilised by staff daily.
