Real estate boost for Bridgetown

March 6, 2023

Work to transform a major piece of real estate in The City into condos is set to begin soon.

Word of this from the Chairman of the Barbados Tourism and Investment Incorporated (BTII), Christopher Gibbs.

Mr Gibbs confirmed that the property located along the Waterfront by the Wharf in Bridgetown, has been purchased by a single investor.

He says there has also been interest in developing Carlisle House into a hotel, while the state is exploring transforming the area which now houses the Procurement Department into a cricket hotel.

Mr Gibbs was the guest speaker at the Barbados Labour Party’s monthly meeting of the City of Bridgetown branch office.

The BTII Chairman, who is also the Member of Parliament for St. Michael West, also spoke of plans to create a directory of small businesses and entrepreneurs, to ensure they get work on government projects.
