As Barbados’ social partnership continues to engage the general public on the topic of COVID-19 vaccines, a major talking point has been the significantly higher risk unvaccinated people face, compared to those who are vaccinated.
That was one of the points reinforced with relevant statistics during the third town hall meeting at the Deighton Griffith Secondary School last evening.
Clinical Medical Officer in the Ministry of Health Dr. Dale Babb revealed the most recent figures on COVID-19 patients in isolation show that the majority of them are unvaccinated.
Dr. Babb also addressed the issue of potentially developing blood clots as a result of using COVID-19 vaccines.
She says as with any medical product, the risks and benefits must be weighed.
