Businesses in rural Barbados should benefit from the reconstruction of several roads connecting the countryside to the City area.
Deputy Prime Minister, Santia Bradshaw, made the point during a groundbreaking ceremony at Carmichael Road, St. George, the first of nine roads to be fixed under the multi-million dollar Global Roads Project.
Ms. Bradshaw believes it will allow communities in northern and eastern parishes to participate in the wider tourism process, as she says the current state of some roads are a deterrent.
