Family safety is a top priority when home isolation is instituted.
During yesterday’s COVID-19 media conference, Consultant Manager for Home Isolation, Dr. Adanna Grandison, gave the scenario of a single mother having to stay at home with her children.
She said in such a case, clinical assessment is necessary.
Across Barbados, the concern of many is the issue of pay to employees who have had to quarantine with their children, but have not tested positive for COVID-19.
Acting Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Anton Best, says individuals can be compensated for their days spent in quarantine if the right diagnosis is placed on their National Insurance form.
