Violence has increased in schools, and current disciplinary measures are not working.
That is the view of the President of the Barbados Secondary Teachers Union, Mary-Anne Redman.
Speaking on last evening’s “One-on-One” Current Affairs Programme, produced by the public affairs department, ms. Redman said confrontations between teachers and parents are not helping either.
As far as the upcoming reform of the education system is concerned, Ms. Redman supports the plans.
