The Coastal Zone Management Unit has granted permission for C.O. Williams Construction to temporarily close a section of the Hastings Boardwalk, next to Blakey’s Bar & Grill, to facilitate the demolition of the old Caribee Hotel building.
The beach and walkway will be closed to the public in the area behind the demolition site, to protect pedestrians from potential injury due to falling debris.
The proposed work will be carried out from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. from the 24th of January until the 26th.
The public is advised to exercise caution and wherever possible, use alternative routes.
