Barbados has recorded a sharp increase in COVID-19 cases.
48 people, 19 males and 29 females, tested positive out of the 1,802 tests conducted by the public health lab yesterday.
There are now 203 people in isolation.
Barbados has recorded 4,789 confirmed cases of COVID-19 since March 2020. The number of deaths from the virus remains at 48.
To date, the laboratory has conducted 255,811 tests.
Public health officials have administered 106,178 first doses of the COVID-19 vaccines under the National Vaccination Programme
Meanwhile, while 93,220 people (34.4% of the population) have received second doses and are fully vaccinated.
