St. James Primary receives donation

June 24th, 2022

Teachers at the St. James Primary School have been going above and beyond to assist less fortunate students.

The school has a Pastoral Care Committee, which deals with the children’s social and emotional needs.

Head of the Committee Cherone Martindale, explains some of the programmes it undertakes.

Ms. Martindale was speaking to the media following a donation of bags, pencils, calculators, notebooks and other school supplies by a group of former students.

The group, which has members in several US states and Canada, also replaced the school’s weed whacker which was not working, forcing it to share with another school.

Glynn Best says the Friends of St. James Primary School at Trents are pleased to give back to the institution, which played a pivotal role in their education.
