Temporary road closure for Walk for the Cure

The section of ABC Highway between the Everton Weekes Roundabout at Warrens by the CIBC FirstCaribbean Bank and the Clyde Walcott Roundabout at Hothersal Turning, will be closed from 3:00 p.m. tomorrow, to facilitate the Walk for the Cure event.

The route of the walk is as follows:

It will start on the highway between the bank’s head office and Warrens branch. It will then travel south towards Hothersal Turning to the Clyde Walcott Roundabout. The walk will then go around the roundabout and turn right onto Waterford Bottom. Walkers should turn right again to pass Combermere School and then another right to enter the National Botanical Gardens from the entrance in front of the National Stadium.

The walk will commence at 3:30 p.m. Runners will begin first followed by the walkers.

There will also be a complimentary park and ride service for all participants.

The designated park and ride locations are:

Sky Mall
Queen’s College
National Stadium
Fairchild Street

Buses to Warrens run from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. They will return to their designated parking area from the National Botanical Gardens from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
