Tourism officials are focusing more on marketing Barbados as a summer destination in 2023, despite the obstacles in place.
Minister of Tourism and International Transport, Ian Gooding-Edghill has explained why the emphasis on summertime.
Minister Gooding-Edghill says the BTMI will be tapping into meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions or mice tourism more but already summer 2023 arrival numbers are looking strong compared to pre-pandemic.
Minister Gooding-Edghill added that Barbados is doing well in comparison to other Caribbean territories.
