TVET: More cybersecurity, animation classes coming 

The Technical and Vocational Education and Training Council is looking to build out technical studies in the areas of cybersecurity and animation.

Executive Director of TVET Henderson Eastmond says training people in these areas will create global citizens.

He told Morning Report new initiatives in this regard are to begin this year.

Mr. Eastmond says while they want to target these subjects, they realise there is a shortage of resource people to deliver.

That is why, he says, the Council is seeking to digitise the programmes for delivery.

Costs will be incurred in the digitisation process and as such, the TVET Council wants to work with institutions and the private sector to facilitate the training.
