Two families are homeless tonight, after fire struck at Prescod Bottom, Bank Hall this morning.
According to reports, at around three minutes to twelve this morning the fire destroyed two timber structures and damaged a third property in the densely populated St. Michael community.
Two water tenders and eight officers under the command of Divisional Officer Marlon Small responded to that blaze.
Officials of the Barbados Light and Power Company as well as the Barbados Police Service also attended to the scene.
MP for the area Christopher Gibbs is on the job finding accommodation for those affected.
