The Barbados Police Service is investigating a shooting incident which occurred around 4:50 am today, Sunday 15 May 2022.
Police personnel at Black Rock Station received a report of shots fired in the areas of Block # 17 and Block # 19 Fernihurst, Black Rock, St Michael. They made a rapid response to the area and on investigation, were made aware that at least two males had reportedly been shot during the incident.
The first individual is a 25-year-old man from Bush Hall, St. Michael. He received injuries to his lower stomach, lower right back, left buttocks, hands, fingers and suspected internal organ damage; he was reportedly transported by taxi to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) for medical attention.
The second injured person is a 36-year-old man who received lower back injuries. He was transported by a private motor car to the QEH.
Police also report that so far four houses and four motor vehicles were damaged during this shooting incident.
Police personnel are still at the scene carrying out investigations.
