The Royal Barbados Police Force has arrested and formally charged two men for a number of criminal offences, including murder.
They are Jee-vad Tevonne Griffith, 26 years, of Harrisons Tenantry, St Lucy, and Shaquon Rico Tion Goddard, 21 years of both Porey Springs, St. Thomas and Airlie Tenantry, Cave Hill, St Michael.
Those offences are:
1. That they, on the September 3, 2021, murdered Kemar Grazette
2. That they on August 31, 2021, did unlawfully wound Carlos Taitt with intent to maim, disfigure or disable him, or to do some other serious bodily harm to the said Carlos Taitt
3. That they on August 31, 2021, present together with other persons, used unlawful violence and their conduct, taken together, was such as would cause a person of reasonable firmness present at the scene to fear for his personal safety
In addition, both Jee-vad Tevonne Griffith and Shaquon Rico Tion Goddard are charged separately for using a firearm without having a valid license to do so on August 31, 2021. These charges stem from investigations into a reported shooting incident that occurred at the Arsenal Playing Field, Jackson, St Michael, on that date.
They are both scheduled to appear at the District ‘A’ Traffic Court at the Supreme Court Complex, Whitepark Road, St Michael today.
