Police confirmed that a motorcyclist died in a collision that occurred around 10:55 am today, along the Belle Road, St Michael.
Public Relations Officer with the Service, Acting Inspector Inniss, said that the motorcyclist, whose identity is unknown at this stage, struck a solid stone wall and died on the spot. He was pronounced dead by a medical doctor who visited the scene.
Police have cordoned the scene and are redirecting traffic away from the area. They are also requesting that motorists avoid the area if possible.
This is the fifth road fatality from four accidents for the year 2022.
