The victim in tonight’s fatal shooting at the Constitution River Terminal has been formally identified by the Police.
He is 35 year old Omar Rommell Boxhill of Streat’s Road, Flagstaff, St. Michael.
Police say the incident occurred around 7:00 p.m. in the area of the stalls.
Witnesses reported hearing a number of gun shots. Police stationed within the Terminal building were alerted by eyewitnesses, who led them to the area where the victim had been shot. On arrival, Police saw Boxhill’s lifeless body in a chair with visible injuries about his body. He was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical doctor.
An unnatural death investigation is ongoing and anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Central Police Station at 430-7676, Police Emergency at 211 or any other police station.
