Police have identified the man who drowned yesterday at Pebbles Beach, Aquatic Gap in St. Michael.
He is 78-year-old Dimitrious Gallos, a Canadian national who was visiting the island.
Police say he was a resident at the Hilton Barbados hotel.
Lawmen say Mr. Gallos’ body was discovered around 11:00 a.m. yesterday, face down in the water by a swimming instructor who was in the area.
Police say after he was retrieved from the water, an ambulance was called, however he was subsequently pronounced dead by a medical practitioner on location.
