Police have identified the man killed after a shooting incident at St. Hill Road, near its junction with Tweedside Road, St. Michael.
He is Lamar Ricardo Travis Johnson, 23 years, of 1st Avenue Nurse Land, Tweedside Road, St. Michael.
The Barbados Police Service said the incident reportedly occurred around 11:45 am today, Wednesday, December 21, 2022.
Communications and Public Affairs Officer of the Barbados Police Service, Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss, provided the following details:
“The victim was walking along Tweedside Road when he was approached and chased after by two men on a motorcycle. One of the men pulled a firearm and fired a number of shots after which the victim fell to the ground. The assailants fled via the said motorcycle. Police quickly responded and summoned ambulance personnel to the scene, a medical doctor pronounced death of the man at the scene.”
Investigations are ongoing.
