Virologist: Use PCR test to detect COVID-19 Omicron variant

An independent consultant virologist is suggesting the use of a simple PCR test to detect the presence of the COVID-19 Omicron variant.

Dr Brendan Larder, who was a guest on CBC’S Morning Report, believes this will assist the country greatly in knowing if the strain is present.
