The Ministry of Health and Wellness is advising the public that alternate weekly visits to the Geriatric Hospital in Beckles Road, St. Michael, will resume from Sunday, August 7th.

Due to a small outbreak of COVID-19, the hospital had restricted visits to Units Two and Four from July 17th.

However, as no new cases were recorded in the client population since July 20th, visits will recommence as follows:

• The week starting August 7th, on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays only –
Units Two and Three comprising Wards 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A, 6B, 7B, 8B, 9B and 10B.

• The week starting August 14th, on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays only –
Units One and Four comprising Wards 2B,3B, 4B, 5B, 8A, 9A and 10A.

Visitors are asked to note that weekly visits of 15 minutes duration will be facilitated between the hours of 4:30 and 6:00 p.m.

Individuals visiting the hospital are expected to follow all COVID-19 protocols and guidelines, which the Ministry says will remain in effect for the protection and well-being of clients and staff.
