Children are being encouraged to be careful what they post on social media.
The caution from Sergeant Kim Harris of the Juvenile Liaison Scheme.
She says it is particularly important now with them on Christmas holiday, and likely spending more time online unsupervised.
Sargeant Harris is also warning young people about the dangers of taking or sharing inappropriate photos online.
