Police and fire officials are still on the scene of a house fire where the apparent remains of a woman and a child have been found.
Fire officials received the report at about 4:35 am and two tenders, one from the Worthing Station and the other from the Bridgetown Station, responded to the scene at Heddings in St. Philip, along with eight officers under the command of Divisional Officer Perch.
It was when fire officials made a check of the wood and wall house, after extinguishing the blaze, that the discovery of the human remains was made.
One neighbouring two-storey structure was damaged as a result of the fire, along with one motor vehicle.
