Legislation alone will not address the issue of sexual harassment, particularly of women.
That was one of the main points made during a discussion on the topic on last night’s edition of The People’s Business.
One of the callers to the programme was Director of the Impact Justice Project, Professor Velma Newton.
She says there is proposed legislation before CARICOM which speaks to sexual harassment.
While there was agreement on the need for legislation, Director of Projects of Men’s Empowerment Network Support, Jermaine Beckford, says taking the legal route alone will not solve the problem of sexual harassment.
