CARICOM focused on transforming agriculture

CARICOM is focused on transforming the agricultural sector in Barbados and other member states.

Secretary General, Dr. Carla Barnett says it became critical especially recently when airports and shipping routes were disrupted due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

She was among the panel for the latest Caribbean Economic Forum with focus on promoting regional growth and development.

Maenwhile, President of the Caribbean Development Bank, Dr. Hyginus ‘Gene’ Leon doesn’t support the notion countries in the region cannot compete internationally because of their small size.
