CMC – In Jamaica, the police have launched an investigation following the discovery of a foetus in the sewer at the Corporate Area based Kingston Public Hospital (KPH), earlier this week.
The foetus, believed to be around three months gestation, was found by a maintenance operator late Thursday, as he was cleaning the sewer underneath the basement of the hospital.
According to the regional director of the South East Regional Health Authority, Errol Greene, the foetus could not have been there for more than a few hours before it was discovered, as the sewer system is cleaned daily.
