The Barbados Meteorological Services (BMS) continues to monitor the progress of a tropical wave and an associated area of low pressure located near 28W.
This system remains in the early stages of development, however, guidance continues to suggest possible tropical cyclone development over the next five days. A general north-westward motion is expected with this system and therefore is not likely to pose any direct threat to the island.
The BMS will continue to monitor the progress of this feature over the next few days.
The Met Office urges the public to continue to monitor all of their updates and alerts.
