The Barbados Meteorological Services continues to closely monitor an area of disturbed weather.
In its latest statement, the BMS said this is associated with an elongated low pressure of 1007MB embedded within the monsoon trough, about 1135 km or 705 miles east of Barbados.
Conditions associated with the system have remained largely unchanged over the past 24 hours. Although conditions remain marginally conducive, the system is not expected to undergo any rapid development as it slowly moves westward to west-northwestward around 5 to 10 mph over the next few days.
The extended forecast tracks remain consistent, with a projected track well north of Barbados by Friday this week.
The BMS strongly recommends that the public listens for daily updates over the next few days.
The next update will be issued at 6:00 p.m. tomorrow.
