Barbados has captured its first medal of the inaugural Central American and Caribbean Beach Games in Santa Marta, Colombia.
Wrestler Reuben Wiltshire claimed the bronze medal in the Men’s Up to 90kg category.
He competed against eventual winner Pedro Francisco Ceballos Fuentes of Venezuela in the semi-final bout where he lost 3-nil on technical points.
Wiltshire however went on to beat Panama’s Elton Brown-Morrison 3-1 on technical points in the bronze medal bout to secure the island’s first piece of hardware.
Barbados is also represented at the games in sailing, surfing, beach volleyball and open water swimming.
