A five wicket haul from Akeem Jordan saw Barbados Pride dismiss the Windward Islands Volcanoes for 237 this evening on day one of the fifth and final round in the CWI’s four-day championship.
Playing at Queens Park Oval in Trinidad, Volcanoes decided to take first knock, as Alick Athanaze led the innings with 59, and Tevyn Walcott added 55.
Jordan took five for 44, while Roshon Primus and Jomel Warrican had two wickets each.
Pride then closed the day on 48 without loss to trail by 189.
Shayne Moseley is not out on 26 and Zachary McCaskie on 21.
Meantime, over at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Jamaica Scorpions closed the day on five for one in reply to Trinidad and Tobago Red Force first innings total of 302 all out.
Over at Providence in Guyana, the Leeward Islands Hurricanes went to stumps on 133 for five in reply to the Harpy Eagles first innings of 122 all out.
